FS9 best Commercial Jet add on ?

Recommended Posts

Just getting back into FS9 just wondering which is the best commercial jet add on for FS9? I dislike Windows 7, it seems so unfriendly and complicated! best Wishes,Chris

You somehow got an answer to your question before: http://forum.avsim.n...91#entry2044991 'The best' is a relative idea depending on many factors, for example on how you personally define 'bestness'.If you mean the level of complexity followed by the learning curve and excitement of it, I'd say: try Leonardo MD-82 2010If you mean the best value for money, I'd say: try the totally freeware Project Tupolev Tu-154MIf you mean the largest number of quality features offered (plus top notch support), I'd say: try iFly 737NG, especially with FS2Crew. The choice and rating are in your hands..

All of the above are good options. The ready for pushback 747 is still a great aircraft but is really showing it's age.The PMDG MD11 is an absolute joy to fly, all system are simulated including the strange quirks found in the real thing. The MD11 has a very high VAPP when at high gross weights, it makes approaches to some cargo destinations like Quito very challenging but enjoyable at the same time.Regards

Have to agree with your comment on the age of the RFP 747-200, however, if you are looking to move to advanced simulations and don't have money to spend then this is a great option. Mark.

All, I really like the Coolsky MD-80 - converted to use the ISGsim FMC - as the old Loran C network has been decomissioned...Best one has to be Paul's 727 though... Regards,Scott

Windows 7 64 has improved my FS9 experience noticeably, but then I did upgrade from Vista, after all. As for airliners, "best" is of course totally subjective, but if I had to pick only one, it would be the Leonardo Maddog.

I would have to say the MD-11 (PMDG) followed by the 747 (PMDG) and 767 (Level-D). Others mentioned here were nice as well but had more problems overall. I loved the ATR-72 (Flight One) but that's a prop. Never flew the older classics except the MD-80 (Leonardo) but it had too many problems IMO. It was very good and I loved it for a while, but certain things about it were bad enough to make me remove it. I never got the iFly 737 so I can't say.
