Help with Auto Throttle

Recommended Posts

When I am ready for Take off and engage TO/GA in the Gatwick to Amsterdam Tutorial, both engines spool up. After 2 seconds, engine no. 1 runs down and A/T disengages. To overcome the problem, I quickly pull back both levers to idle, cancel the A/T warning, engage A/T again and press TO/GA. Then all works clear for the rest of the flight. Interestingly, this problem was definitely not there when I flew the tutorial for the first time. Can anyone help,Michael

What setting within the FMC do you have for Manual thrust overrides AT? Try NEVER, this might work if your throttles are not calibrated correctly. Dan.

Dan, Override was set to NEVER, but nevertheless it was the Saitek throttle quadrant. The left throttle lever is spiking a bit, and that causes A/T to quit. I will try to put the levers in the full thrust position as long as A/T is active (I have read this in another thread). Thank You,Michael
