My panel freeze issue has been resolved

I had been having freeze ups every other flight, either on approach when disc AT or CDU and when working in FMC legs page. Defragged and cleaned my registry file with Advanced systems care 4. Also cleaned up all the non linked files. 10 flights maybe more, been flying all day, NO FREEZES. Not 100% percent confident but much, much better and much smoother now also. I m even trying to get it to lock up! Not even getting the jerkies when activating HDG. Far to premature to suggest this is a cure but so far so good. 200% gooder :) P.S. I had no success with the Hotfix for Freeze ups. It had no effect on my lockups. First flight I had them

I've also tried everything to get a CTD or freeze but not succeed once after 8 days fly with PMDG 737NGX + Hotfix I use Windows 7 64Bit 8Gb and REX + GEX + ASE + FSFK

I resolved a panel freeze last evening when I noticed that despite no gauge refreshing on the main panel the Heads Up display was still working as expected. I pressed 'A' and cycled to the FO view and the guages were operating as they should,. When I went back the PIC view everything was sweet.

I'm not sure if I'm adding anything here or not, but I noticed something that I haven't seen discussed. I had SIM freezes (FSX eventually glazed over white) during my first two flights (and I confused them with the panel freeze issue), which were corrected after a few changes to the fsx config file. At least one of the SIM freezes was caused by inputting information into the CDU. I then flew for several days (only about 8 short flights) with no issues at all. Last night I made a 2.5 hour flight from KDFW to KATL, and suffered what I believe is my first true PANEL Freeze. The aircraft kept flying, but changing course, speed, alt, v/s, nothing changed the aircrafts flight path. This occcured right after I changed speed and altitude for a waypoint and selected Execute. I also noticed that when flying in VNAV, the FMC seems to take a REALLY long time to chew on data, and several times now while flying in VNAV the speed and altitudes disappeared for long periods of time. I'm wondering if the new features built in for FMC calculated speed decreases (no pilot input) and calculations that display speed decreases (in magenta) the FMC believes the aircraft can't achieve have some issue with the way the code is written?
