Windows 7 - lost the ability to add any scenery in library

Hi Everyone: Just installed Windows 7 and reinstalled FSX. For some reason, I am no longer able to add scenery through the usual add scenery menu in FSX. No matter what "path" I select, as soon as I click "OK", it keeps blanking out the field. It first puts the correct path in the data field, but as soon as I click "OK", the field that was just filled with the correct path string goes back to being empty. I have been adding scenery easily for many years now, and suddenly I am no longer able to. Can anyone help me? Thanks, Chris Catalano

When you have selected the folder click ok, then when it opens that folder simply click inside the folder and all should be good.

If Windows 7 creates problems for a Microsoft product, does it create even more problems for non-Microsoft programs; I still run Windows XP which is why I ask? Regards, Mike Mann

Short answer: No. Slightly longer answer: If you are running something very ancient you may want to check for compatibility.

Decided to do an internet check for compatibility on some of my hardware and software and I can see some Windows 7 issues! Guess I'll stick with Windows XP for now but thanks for the advice. Regards, Mike Mann
