August 16, 201114 yr I have observed under tight testing that autogen on sparse or normal produces a lower framerate with more stutters than when it is on dense.... or even very dense. Stuttering or framerate variability is not worse either as I am discovering flying with no external limiter (unlimited within fsx) produces finer, crisper textures, no object popping autogen in distance as a fly and even VC head movements and changes with views using EZDok run smoother with less hesitations! It looks better than ever! I'm curious if others on similar machines have dropped the external limiters we have been using to let FSX just run "as it should"? I loved the external limiter too... but it seems when you crank up the scenery details (not car traffic, or air traffic, I still have those removed) ... the framerate variability drops! Makes sense perhaps... One last thing after days of testing the new NGX .... nothing new, I guess aircraft shadows and aircraft AI are the worst...both have been turned off for some noticeable help... August 16, 201114 yr Hi Peter, my config is like yours ... I set FSX with autogen to dense, Clouds to max,(REX2 overdrive text. Clouds to 2048), water to 2X Low.... and I have not stutters , except when I'm in airport as KJFK, KORD, etc of FSDREAM Team or Cloud9, KSFO of FSBEAM ... etc. :-) System: ASUS PX9X79 , i74820 4GHZ, 16 Giga RAM, Geforce 780 GTX, Win7 64bit Home EditionLucio
August 16, 201114 yr . One last thing after days of testing the new NGX .... nothing new, I guess aircraft shadows and aircraft AI are the worst...both have been turned off for some noticeable help... I use the Antilag limiter wich is much smoother and gives smooth panning for EzDok and TRI (on my rig), but i have found the biggest burdens on FPS is water effects. I do however have aircraft shadows turned off. Rick Hobbs Â

August 16, 201114 yr Nice to hear that i am not alone. I have the same settings as you but is trying to get it to work on extremely Dense as it is so much smoother and with more fps with the Autogenslider. I have a post in the PMDG forum about it . I do suffer from OOM in heavy area like EGLL London and LFPG Paris but maybe i will find a way to pass there as well. Disabling Ultimate Traffic 2 is one solution that has worked so far. Anybody who would do a testflight from EGLL to EDDM FL350 with REX24096 and Autogen on extreme ? (You need to have Aerosoft and the NGX) It kills my FSX in FL350 about 120nm from EDDM. Michael Moe Â
August 16, 201114 yr Author I never fly with any commercial scenery except for Orbx stuff... I just don't own any ..and find default scenery quite satisfying anyways... yet, still trying to get FSX sweet spot with the NG and still today after flying some good real legs, think the Framerame limiter is not good for me... so far the occasional jabbers and jitters in frame rate are acceptable because the over all effect with the limiter was worse in terms of some blurries sneaking in and more microstutters in the VC world... now I don't have that at all except some normal stutters near airports perhaps.. but really no more than with the limiter...I think the limiter chokes some things as well... dunno what exactly but it seems that way in my case... with my laptop i7 ....
