How to load a Saved Flight without Crashing to Desktop

Featured Replies

I saw a couple threads earlier of people asking about how load a saved flight without crashing. I never had any problems loading the MD-11X or 747-400X flights directly from FSUIPC AutoSave. However everytime I try it with the 737-NGX it crashes as others have reported. I have found a go-around that works consistantly for me. Select one of your other PMDG planes (MD-11X, 747-400X or other PMDG Plane) and choose the arrival airport you were originally flying to. Load the plane up at the gate with the current Zulu time and sit there a couple seconds until the plane is stable. End your flight then load up your saved flight with the 737-NGX. Majority of the time doing it this way works for me. Why? No Idea! Thinking.gif Do Note that If you have a default panel state set, be sure and disable this. I had NGX set to use the Cold and Dark Panel State everytime I loaded it up. Well when I loaded up my saved flight with this enabled you can guess what happened to me. LMAO.gif

I found that this is not necessary since the last hotfix. As I posted elsewhere, I loaded a previously crashing saved game descending during the tutorial, and it loaded and played just fine. Henri

Yep, since the two hotfixes, the CTD issue with saved flights (either purposely saved in FSX, or autosaved by FSUIPC) during descents has been eliminated.
