I use TOPCAT, it's really great.
Doesn't TOPCAT usually give an over-the top fuel estimate?

The MD-11 has a built in fuel planner. There are some instructions somewhere on AVSIM by Dr. Vaos if I remember correctly. Here is the link: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/124419-md-11-calculating-fuel/page__hl__guess++fuel . See Reply #4 for his instructions. The 747 has detailed instructions in the manual. Chapter 2. For fuelplanning I use this freeware programm, which is really precise! For takeoff planning I use TOPCAT, but I don't like the fuel amount estimated. It is without reserves...

There is also a fuel estimating option, but it is not as accurate as the freeware I posted above.

hi nice little freeware website! thanks! Be good if you could include winds and just a takeoff weight as well! CheersAndrew

I use the fuelplanner I got from the PMDG website (downloads -> misc).

FSbuild is best for accurate fuel planning, TOPCAT admittedly from a few sources is known to not be as accurate as it dose not take into effect winds allot and is also can calculate taxi, alternatives, hold time etc. Most my 747/MD11 and now 737-800 flights planned with FSbuild have been within a few 100lb at the planned fuel along on route. I just use TOPCAT for loading of the aircraft and takeoff planned in regards to CG% MTOW etc

For the 747 I use my own custom made planner, check my signature for the link. The 747 manuals, ahh, what simpler times...happy.png I hope to be able to do the same for the 737 once I gather the many many (repeat that as many times as needed) pages of data provided.

Regarding MD11 and NGX, if you will fill all data required, winds aloft, destination forecast etc, you will get very precise fuel estimation. I can't say that for other aircraft you mentioned because I don't own them.

Here's a great one for PMDG's 747 http://www.supercell.nl/747FP/ Here's one that is fairly accurate and can be used for various types of A/C http://fuel.aerotexas.com/ I used this one for the Wilco PIC 737. Works really well and integrates perfectly with FSX. Haven't tried it with the NGX yet though. http://www.volny.cz/...FPL/B737FPL.htm Here's an old Fuel Planer for a 767 http://www.avsimrus....ion=download= And http://nofuel.thatssailing.com/flightsimulator/fuelplannerb763/default.asp
