Force 4 Hurricane Irene to Strike Bahamas Thu 8 AM EST

Featured Replies

Track Irene. Force 4 hurricane is 100 - 120 KN surface winds. Posted for those wanting to try large jet STOL operations at MYNN (about 8 AM THU EST). More bahamas airports. Cheers, - jahman.

Will the 'real weather' download option create a hurricane in my flightsim, or will it just be very windy?

The default real weather option just downloads current METARs (METARs can be up to an hour old) and tries to replicate the weather at your nearest weather station. It's pretty rudimentary, but better than nothing! I highly suggest Active Sky Evolution (ASE) if you are serious about simming, it's a must have. ASE can also depict Hurricanes by interpolating weather data and creating more weather stations. It's neat.
