FS 2004 on Windows 7 64Bts

Recommended Posts

Hi guys I am using the PMDG Queen of the skies on FS 2004 I am on the verge of buying a new system and would like to use it with FS2004 on Windows 7 with 64 bits. However, i have heard of problems using FS2004 on Window 7 64Bits and would like to know if you would advise me against using this combination. Can anyone tell me do these problems tend to be of a similar nature in origin? and if so, are they easy to resolve giving normal performance. some people report problems while others seem fine, any chaps out there using the Queen with Wind 7 64Bts are there any pitfalls I should be aware of? and are these problems exaggerated ? What do you think is the key to successfully using these and placing add-ons on as well. Thank You very much Richard (Nagoya Japan)

No probs using Fs9 on Windows 7 64Bits. I myself have this combination now. However I do belive that XP-64Bit is a better choice though. Had that combination earlier. Win7 have among those irritating things, like black screen when using Alt-Tab and such. But there are cure for that today via Highmem fix in the cfg. But there are other things in Win7 I dislike (compare to XP-64) when running FS to be honest. / Leffe
