Recommended Posts

Hi all, I have just upgraded my PC with new MB ( MSI P67A GD53 ) plus a i5 2500K and 4gb of pc1600, coolermatser hyper 212 plus and a Zalman Z9 plus, the upgrade went well and I am very happy with the reasults.but I do have one small problem my D-Link DWA-111( wireless network apt ) isn't being pick up by the PC in any of the USB ports. worked fine with old system and still works in my laptop. It dosn't even say new device found, All other hardware that I plug in to the same USB ports work fine. I am currently using a very long RJ45 cable Any help would be great mark

You should probably post this in the networking forum. More chance of getting an answer there. Did the adapter come with any software? A disc or anything?

Did you manually download and install the USB drivers for your motherboard? especially the USB 3.0 ones? maybe that WI-FI doesn't like the default drivers or something

...I am currently using a very long RJ45 cable...
  1. How long is the cable?
  2. What type of cable (CAT 5, 5e, 6; there is no such thing as "RJ45 cable" as RJ45 is a type of connector jack, not a type of cable).
  3. What is your connection speed/type? (e.g. 1000-BASE-T, 1000-BASE-TX)
  4. If in gigabit speed, are all four cable pairs wired?

Cheers, - jahman.
