Stall warning test question...

The stall warning test won´t make any sound until... entering in FMC hte IRS position (however the IRS system is not necesary stay aligned). is this behavior the according Boeing´s design?

I can confirm this. This is what FCOM v2 says about the stall warning test:

STALL WARNING TEST SwitchesPush – on ground with AC power available: each test switch tests its respective stall management yaw damper (SMYD) computer. No.1 SMYD computer shakes Captain’s control column, No.2 SMYD computer shakes First Officer’s control column. Vibrations can be felt on both columns•inhibited while airborne.

How write Cristi, according FCOMv2, "Push – on ground with AC power available", but there is not reference to wait until FMC IRS information is entered. The question/problem is open!

I read somewhere that AC Power has to be on about 4 min. I usually just do my walk-around first and when I come back the stick shaker test works perfectly. Rgeards, Chris Volle

I don't think this is correct behavior. In the plane, I test the stall before I even have the IRS set to NAV or the position in the FMC.
