My 2 pennies on CTD/fatal error occurrence

Featured Replies

Hello, Few days ago my HD got retired and I got it replaced. A fresh install of Windows 7 and FSX took placed over several hoursShocked.gif , which was a pain for me because I did all these processes several times but at the end i found out my HD somehow got old. Well, everything goes perfectly with NGX and 744X(of course), no panel freeze, etc., except one thing which occurs quite frequently even once on my 744X( never before) that I got a few fatal errors and soon after FSX restarts. I have placed UIautomaton.dll into the main FSX folder but it doesn't solve the issue at all and its clearly not a NGX issue. One common among the occurrences is that they occur just after I right-click( to change views).SO, I think the solution is quite obvious, you just don't right-click LOL.gifMy suggestion is that if you want to change views, simply go from the top menu , instead of popping up a new one. This certainly improve my NGX experience and as far as now, I haven't got any errors popping up.This might be a issue from FSX itself. It might happen to you, it might not(like before). Just in case if it happens, try my easy solution and hope thats working for you as well!LOL.gif Regards,Frank

Sounds like the uiautomationcored.dll fix is needed in your situation. FSX is notrious for Crashing to the Desktop after so many right clicks of the mouse during a flight. Usually by getting the 32-bit version of the uiautomationcore.dll and placing it in your FSX folder will solve this problem. It does for me. The fix is for Windows 7 users but also works for Vista 64-bit users and the 32-bit file in question is the uiautomationcored.dll that comes with Vista 32-bit. I think the reason sometimes this does not work for everyone is they are using the wrong .dll It has to be the 32-bit Windows Vista uiautomationcored.dll or it wont work. You can get it at the link below. http://www.search-dll.com/dll-files/download/uiautomationcore.dll.html
