I have decided to overclock my i5760 to around 4ghz for the time being - probably waiting until the next batch of Intel CPU's come out and then just upgrade mobo and CPU I am new to FSX ( FS9 for 6 years) and have played around with some FSX add-ons for a few months at stock speeds but with some new add-ons ( e.g. PMDG J41, CLS MD-80, REX) , i will need to get some more juice from the CPU. I am holding off on the PDMG NGX ( although very tempting as it the best a/c addon out there bar none) until i get a CPU that i can overclock go 5GHZ so i can hold 25- 30 FPS pretty much everywhere. Here is what i have at the moment: I5 760 LGA 1156Nvidia GTX 460 1GB ( my monitor is a 20" Samsung at 1600*1050 resolution so this should do just fine - i run at 8x AA in Inspector with no issues at all with driver version 270) . I fly mostly in clear - partly cloudy skies - not heavy weather.4GB Kinsgston DDR3 1333 ValuRam ( need to replace )Windows 7 64 bitAntec DF35 case with 140mm top, 1 rear 120mm and 2 120mm variable rate cooling fansPSU - 550W ( replacing this with Corsair 750w psu)Asus Maximus III Gene Mobo ( Republic of Gamers )Noctua NHD14 CPU cooler I need to replace my RAM to a higher quality and speed because cheap or slow RAM can affect your overclock.To acheive successful 4GHZ overclock which RAM would be better as follows: 8GB of 9-9-9-24 1. Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Dual Channel Memory Kit (64.99 CAD) 4GB of 7-8-7-20 2. Corsair XMS3 Dominator 4GB DDR3 2X2GB DDR3-1600 CL 7-8-7-20 Core i5 i7 Dual Channel Memory Kit ( same price but 4GB only) I know that FSX only uses 4gb of RAM since it is 32 bit but with some heavy duty add-ons ( plus i run higher LOD 6.5) - would more than 4GB be needed? anyways any suggestions would be appreciated! thank you

I'd go for the 8GB ram. The timings won't speed things up much (maybe 1 FPS max?) but the extra 4GB will definitely be handy for the intensive addons.
