Problem mixing VC and 2D usage

Recommended Posts

In the past I have often used parts of the 2D panel components from within the VC by typing shift-1 etc.. Following my old habit in the NGX, this caused an issue on my machine (Win 7 64-bit, GTX-580 card) as shown in the attached images. I think I got to issue shown in the thrid image by cycling through shift-1 to shift-9, then to the outside view (F11) and back to the VC (F9) and I got it in two separate runs. Would have to try to reproduce it again. The popup screens (clicking into the PFD etc.) look ok, but inside the panel they look corrupted. It's not a biggie for me as the VC is excellent to use, just an old habit of mine. Regards,Siggy

Hi Siggy,What driver version are you using ? I have seen this on the MD11 using the ? .33 driver. I went back to using the ? .61 and never saw that again. have read other post's regarding the .33 drivers causing this under certain settings. Assuming you are using a Nvidia graphic's card of course.

We did not design the main 2D panel to work with the VC as the active view - that's just now how the system we developed works, sorry. You will see problems if you try to do this. You can use the 2D popups. (there's one for the MCP too)

Hi Julian,The driver version is "8.17.12.7533" so I'll try to find better a better one. The .61, is that a newer version (can't tell from the last digits only) ? The shift-1 etc. I'll avoid, I understand, thanks. Regards,Siggy

Hi Siggy,Yes, I found the 61 to be very stable. Good luck with it.
