ASUS P8P67 LE B3 and Intel i7 2600K

you can overclock until the 2600k reaches to it's limits. Your motherboard is good, no problem with it. The LE or LX suffix doesn't matter with the overclocking ability, there are some useless features on pro or deluxe motherboards which only make some work convenient. It's a P67 chipset so yes you can overclock just like a high end P67 or Z68 motherboard. Just remember to get a good aftermarket cooler and start slowly and steadily. If you want insane cooling water cool your system.
Thanks a lot, I was hoping that would be the case. I'm going to water cool the system but that is for later on.

It's a board with just 4 power phases, no digital VRM and some limitations in the BIOS for overclocking (but nothing absolutely necessary is missing for all I know). It can be done, but I'm not sure how much that could limit your overclock. It would be cool if you shared your results with it

I'll post my results here when I get everything going.

If someone has this MOBO with the i7 2600K can give me an idea of the O.C they are getting and the performance in FSX, i'll really appreciate it.
I would say..One of the best MoBo. With good cooler it can go up to 5.0 GHZ but I heard it won't be stable for 24/7 gaming use. I use Noctua NH-D14 and could get to 4.8 GHZ but I did not like it because of temperature which runs over 70C°. I therefore went back to 4.6 GHZ with an average temperature of 53C° 24/7 stable with no issues, FSX runs like silk. By the way, when you overclock it, remember to switch off Hyper threading (HT) because it tends to raise temperature. HT has no benefit for FSX.

I thought the NH-D14 was supposed to be better than the H60. I get under 70C° with my H60 at 4.8GHz, never seen it go over.

But don't you have the P8P67 Deluxe in your sig? Or did you use the LE in a different build?

As you can see from my sig i went the p8p67 deluxe route with an overclock in mind. However I have not got my new cooling yet so have not tried to overclock it. It will be my first overclock so it will be an experience of sorts but am looking forward to see what I can get. Would also be interested to know what you achieve. Regards.
