Mouse clicks not working

Recommended Posts

Hi, guysSearching the forums, its seems that some people are having problems with the mouse buttons not working in the NGX. My installation was working fine until a couple of days ago. Everything was good I until went in to an external view, then back into the virtual cockpit. I couldnt click on anything - nothing worked, even the mouse wheel. Applications outside of FSX were working fine, no problems - just within FSX in the NGX. I use FSX in maximised windowed mode - I even noticed that the red cross (exit) at the top of the window didnt even work. The only way of quitting FSX is via the Task Manager. If i reload the flight (FSUIPC automatically saves every 90 seconds), the mouse is working but the gauges are black! I have seen some suggestions about shifting the view with ctrl+shift+enter, going into full screen then out again - but nothing seems to get it working once its stopped. What is interesting is that the menu within FSX (Flights, Aircraft, World, etc.) still work. I am just wondering, is this something to do with the NGX activation? I can wait for the next SP if that fixes the issue, but i am wondering if it could be another problem. Thank you for your help and suggestions.

Adrian I've just seen another post about same issue but I found that if I change eye position rather than view zoom I can get it to work.In the FSX settings go to view but look for the move eye position in/out & give it a key or joystick button assignment. Then try that & see if moving eye position in or out will work for you too. Works every time for me. good luck.

This sounds to me like a complete lock-up or freeze of FSX. I don't think it is just a case of loss of mouse function. You should submit a ticket.Regards,

You need to zoom in more than your mouse will work again. It seems that you'll need to be a certain distance to the panel in order to work. Too far from it & nothing seems to work.

But surely if even the close button on the window (he is in windowed mode) isn't responding, then the entire app (FSX) is frozen?

You've got lots of nice hardware there. Hard to believe you're having problems.

I too have EzDok, but no probs. Guess something must have gone amiss with your first install. Glad to hear you got it solved.Regards,
