Equipment Visible in FSX

Recommended Posts

I recently added a number of ground vehicles in FSX. The additions were installed via an auto-installer. Later, when I was changing aircraft via the FSX menu, I noticed a large number of thumbnails associated with these vehicles. I dusted off AirEd and went to work making all these vehicles invisible. Most of them disappeared. However, there are about 20 vehicles that are still present in the FSX menu. I went through all the vehicles in the SimObjects\GroundVehicles folder looking for *.air files that I might have missed. I couldn't find any that didn't have the "Aircraft Type=2" statements. I also tried a search of my disk drives with no joy. So, here is my question - Where could these vehicle files be? Or, is there another way (not air file) that these vehicles can be visible in FSX? Thanks Frank

While I can't help you find them on your computer, when you do find them, delete the panel config. That will remove them from the menu. What add on are you using? Maybe someone else is familiar with it.

Yes, I checked my C drive (Windows7 installed) and I went through the FSX directory (installed on another drive) including all the SimObjects folders. The software that installed the vehicles is Dirk Stuck Design - World Ground Traffic X. Thanks for your responses. Frank

I used the method mentioned above (take out panel folder) and it worked. All the vehicles whose visibility could not be changed in the *.air file were made invisible. Thanks for the great help. Frank
