Burn in is complete - Need advice on moving forward with OC

Hi All, I wanted to post these temps and get some input. I am using HWMonitor.I have been running prime95 large, small and Blend options for the last 24 hours.I am running at stock at about 3500mhz with 1.19-1.22 avg volts. Hyperthreading is off, but all other bios settings are default for now. All of my case fans and radiator fans are on a molex and not connected to the the MB with the exception of theH70 pump, which I put on the cpu_fan connector of the MB. The H70 pump was a 3 wire but the connection was a 4 wire so the left pin on the MB is not being used. I got somewhat confused on what fan went on what connector. Hi, OCCT for 1 hour using a large DataSet and stable at 4.5 with a 1.29 vcore. Temps mid 50's. The highest temp reported was 60.I am very pleased. I thought about going higher but I dont believe that from 4.5 - 4.8 would make a big difference in FSX but not really sure.My last box was a qx9650 oc'd to a sloppy 3.7. I can really see the difference. Very happy with my investment. I am running an ASUS p8z68 pro, i7 2600k

Hi Bob, I would run 4.8 if I could. Not that I think it makes much difference but just because. Criteria for me would be if I could remain under 1.38v and 72c when measured with Realtemp and CPUZ version 157.1 for volts. Takes me 1.32v to hit 4.5GHz and I am not going any higher.

Bob,I also have an H70 CPU cooler. You really need to get that pump off the cpu_fan header. As the CPU loads and unloads, the CPU_fan header voltage varies up and down which gives you varying rpm's on the pump. While that is ok for the fan, it is not good for the pump. That pump needs to run at a constant 1400+/- rpm. I advise you to put the pump on one of the chasis power headers. I found this info on the Corsair forum last year when I installed my H70.

Jeeese that's nice to know now lol... I've got my H60 on the cpu_fan header as well... uuugh.
