gday this is my first post.I use actskyadv with fs9 and rex textures.its very unrealistic to have clouds at this altitude, maybe just some high cirrus would be okay.do i have to change something in actskyadv options or within fs9 itself? any advice would be welcome

Hi, On the ASA Cloud options screen make sure the bottom 4 cloud sliders are all set to zero percent. Then you can increase the cirrus slider to fit your liking. Remember to save your settings.

Where were you flying? In the tropics it is quite normal the have clouds even at 60,000ft!!!!!!In the temperate zones 35 to 40 k can be seen almost daily.vololiberista

METAR data does not report clouds that high.
No they don't! However it's quite easy for a good weather programme to interpolate cloud height with the given latitude, weather conditions, pressure and temperature. Even easier with codes like TCU!!vololiberista

Hi, Not when doing this causes other issues in FSX that cannot be fixed, hence a coded cloud height limitation!
