Shades and AffinityMask

I noticed last week that my "AffinityMask" setting no longer worked and spent hours trying find out why, well it turns out that the new addon "Shades" when installed renders "AffinityMask" useless. So my question is why an earth is Shades doing this and what is the point of it?

Not sure why Shade is having and effect on your AffinityMask settings,it makes no changes to the fsx.exe or .cfg files i dont & have never seen this on my own test system(s) and have'nt had any testers or other users report this problem to me,any chance its just a coincidence with something else you've installed recently?

I'm running the AM tweak too and it stays intact with Shade installed and running. Does this happen only when you start FSX with Shade or even without the Shade.exe running?Does the uninstall of Shade trigger the tweak to work again and the later installation then to stop it?

I have both (AM=14 and Shade) and everything works. How do you know it doesn't work?

Once installed AM no longer works and even if I remove Shades it's still broken. To test this I used a clone copy of FSX which was clean of Shades, run FSX and AM works install Shades and AM no longer works and I've done this twice, so have no doubt what the cause is. It is easy for me to know if it's working or not because I use a G15 keyboard so am able to monitor CPU usage.

Well I think that the simple Task Manager would be the easiest way, but maybe the G15 display helps too of course. However, I really doubt that Shade can alter anything regarding the Affinity Mask by design.But I'm just another user, with a working AM entry, so lets see if one could investigate further.

I have a G15 also and see no change in AM with/without shade runningif you want to email me with your flightsim store details i can provide support via email and try and figure out the problem....but if you got Shade somewhere other than fss who knows what the hells been injected into the installer or exe'esand who knows wth it might be doing to your system

My AM is working fine as well with Shade
