September 23, 201114 yr Just wondering, Is the cockpit of the -600/700 louder than the -800/900 because of the closer proximity to the engines when you're in the cockpit? I know i've read that the a321 cockpit is quiter than the a319's simply because of how much further back the engines are. This would seem to make sense, but an aircraft engine is loud no matter what so I'm just wondering what the facts are. Thanks, Mitch Bowman Mitch Brown Private Pilot | Aerospace Engineering Major
September 23, 201114 yr I asked this same question a few weeks back, Armen from PMDG (the sound engineer for the NGX) confirmed that the engine sound will be appropriately more louder on the 600 and 700. Knowing PMDG's attention to detail, I would presume the 600 will be marginally louder than the 700. A.J. Domingo

September 23, 201114 yr Well, if the 600 is louder than the 700, can't we now compare the 800 to the 900? Kevin M. Manley
