September 25, 201114 yr Says PMDG's R.S. Randazzo (Today, source): I saw a few folks inquiring about the ER packages: I would anticipate these to arrive around the US Thanksgiving holiday. (Subject to change!) We might close the gap here a bit, but we will also be moving certain members of the team to the 777 in order to get that project moving at full speed, so we'll just plan for a few months between each of the NGX expansion packages. (Whoa... Did he just mention the 777? Yes, yes he did.) Cheers, - jahman.
September 25, 201114 yr so we'll just plan for a few months between each of the NGX expansion packages.Wasn't that a 4 to 6 weeks before? However, with the current hotfix strategy and the 'success' on generating more problems with each new one, I doubt that it's a good idea to start moving resources. Planning is a nice thing to do, but reality tends to spoil the process from time to time, as seen.If SP1 rules out all stability problems and also the system detail bugs, I stand corrected though, with pleasure. Other plans. Final SP for the MD-11, SP2 for the J41 maybe? The waiting time there already is measured in years, just sayin'.The T7 is a good choice, but didn't they already announce it to be in the pipeline with the Dash 8? Again, good choices.
September 25, 201114 yr They hinted about the t7 and the dash 8 a long time ago yeah. Not exactly an unofficial announcement at this time. Johan Pettersen
September 25, 201114 yr What makes that unofficial, it comes right fro the man on top. I think that's as Official as it gets!! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
September 26, 201114 yr Kinda 3 years too lateNot really if it means they do a VC and system depth like they did with the 737-NGX. What makes that unofficial, it comes right fro the man on top. I think that's as Official as it gets!!Technically "Official" would be via a specific Press Release. Side mention in a forum thread ranks with "overheard at a bar" Cheers, - jahman.
