September 26, 201114 yr Im not having any problems right now, should i just wait for the service pack and skip the latest hotfix? it seems to be causing problems. Basicly im asking if the service pack will overlap what the hotfix is supposed to fix. Is the hot fix a prerequisite to install the service pack? Thanks, Mitch Bowman Mitch Brown Private Pilot | Aerospace Engineering Major
September 26, 201114 yr Don't fix what aint broke. Won't hurt to wait for the service pack and no you won't need hotfix 4 to install SP1. They just released it to help those that are still having issues with freezes and crashes. By releasing hotfix 4 that let's them offer the latest version to anyone that wants it while we wait on the Service Pack. I am not having any issues really but I still installed the HotFix to have the latest version and it does seem more stable. If you do install HotFix4 make sure you uninstall your liveries first, and delete your aircraft.cfg files which is the most hassle free approach to make sure they all get updated. Course you may want to backup your .cfg files if you made any custom changes.. Paul Deemer
September 26, 201114 yr Commercial Member There's a lot of stuff fixed/added besides fixes for freezing actually... consider this a test version of SP1 really. (though it doesn't include the model updates)Thanks for that reassuring response, Ryan, as I too like the OP was hedging my bets debating whether to go ahead with installing the latest HF, then taking two steps backwards after reading all the postings following the HF release.
