Tileproxy AMD 6 Core 5mb internet no transfer! FAvor Please?

Recommended Posts

I have search, reviewed, installed,,,reinstalled,,,re-reinstalled. I have changed drives I have even considered reinstall of OS...?!@? But... My tile proxy does work. It just doesn't work the way I would expect my system to work so as a favor I'm asking the great community whom has helped in the past to so many of us out here. System Specs:Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA790x-UD4PProcessor AMD Phenom 1100T 6 coresRam 8GB Kingston DDR2 800HDD1 wOS Win764 SATA WD 500GB w14.ms seek HDD2 Parralell not used but for backupHDD3 World folder and caches SATA Seagate 1TB tested w 18.ms seek 2x ATI 4850 512mb in crossfire 11.5 drivers (POINT here My older 2 core system ran this stuff eh..OK why not with this now) FSX sp2 tileproxy beta8 shader mod 3.0 I can load a flight in Hawaii like I allways do and I get the origianl loaded area ok and net transfer shows ok.it take a while and works but I think it is cached. because subsequent flight shows little to no net dl but 150 tile per second transfer. This should be DL'ing like crazy, YES? I not getting any new tiles so as a long time user of tileproxy I must have goofed it bigtime So what can I do to avoid a system wide reinstall of everything to get a pleasurable experience again? I can and will post anything I can to help you guys help me? Have you added tileproxy to your firewall exceptions list both on your pc and router? That was what got me.

thanks jbrewer, you got 1st post lol. I did make sure that fsx and tileproxy are in firewall. I even checked hosts file to see if that was issue. It is very odd, I can load a flight and then circle and nothing else loads just blurry. But It was loading before. I can try anything though. I used to be in IT stuff, so I thought this was going to be cake but turns out its chocolate cake : ( ha ha. oh well I can see if anyone has ideas as I have tried everything I can think of and still something is not working. jbrewer, can I ask you. if you load up a new airport and see how much your connection is transferring how much is it downloading to fill in tiles for a new airport you haven't been to before. Assuming your service covers the area and it covers up to say level 15-17?

conn=20 rate=2.0
increase to 50 and 5.0
[service Example 3]cache_folder=G:\\cache.service3cache_folder=D:\cacheWC
Double path & double backslash. Why? Disable one of above directories and correct the double slash. I dunno if it is the reason of your trouble but it shouldn't look like that.

Update: I loaded my test flight again and flew to an area I have not covered yet as it is lod 8 included. I can tell by the colors. using the normal service 3 YH I paused the sim and walked away from the computer, as I waste serious time watching TP fill in some days. all tough it is fun.... the highest traffic on my network adapter is a few 64kB/sec spikes and a lot of 15 kB/sec spikes 30 seconds apart. BUTttttt TP is filling in but it is not going fast at all. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

thanks gfusc! I had caught the double cache entry but not the double //? I think I errored it before and then tileproxy entered them this way after re-installing it. Hmmm off to test I go....

I think the problem might be that I have gone over all of hawaii honolulu at least this is why nothing downloads, but why does it take soooooo long to load cached scenery any tips or help?

Still playing with this problem but I found that if the [21,135] or similar is at the bottom then it is accessing the internet. But this rarely happens so my cache is full in test area. My cache manager show gigs of data so it is close to level 19 all over my test area. I've tried lowering my levels to let my system kind of cath up but this never happens. going to reinstall. THANKS EVERYONE.
