hey avsim,
Hey towerdude, I'm not Avsim and I dont have an answer to your questions, but my advise would be to start from scratch using NickN's setup guide http://www.simforums.com/forums/setting-up-fsx-and-how-to-tune-it_topic29041.htmlI'd also go ahead and get it upto SP2 if I were you since a lot of addons require SP2 to be installed.

Deleting or renaming the FSX.cfg and restarting FSX and letting the config rebuild is the first step. That usually fixes a lot of things. That will fix the problem with the keys not working. You can go into FSX controls too and try clicking on the restore default button too. If you have UTX installed, you might startup the UTX config, let it do its startup routine, then close it. It could be a scenery layering problem too. Did you just add some scenery? I think the previous poster has a great suggestion too as Nick's guide can fix problems with your setup too. Best regards,Jim

You really should install SP2. No idea why folks don't. Cheers, - jahman.

Because some people have acceleration which includes sp2. I have it. Now what our we going to do about the keys not working. It's just the A and S keys that work. Everything else doesn't (including atl. and right clicking to name a few.

And what can we do about all these questions? Seriously; if you had Acceleration installed, why did you state in your first post that the problems occurred since you installed SP1? Is there a possibility that you are flying over a large lake or ocean? This would explain the "blue ground" problem.

No. The land is the problem. It's like the whole Earth is covered in water like the end of the world happened and the airports and buildings survived.

Yes, but not right away.

That is not good... start by uninstalling SP1. SP1 is included in Acceleration - I'm surprised you were able to install SP1 over top...
