Nice ones Jamaljé. Loving the NGX and LAX as well. Nice views and I like the sky colors. I believe I am using the same sunset textures as well.

Thanks so much Sean (Forgive me if I got your name wrong ;) It truly is a lovely dusk set (:Even though the Lag was terrible while watching the Pacific Ocean :(

What was the lag problem when watching the ocean? With rig you shouldn't have much problem, except maybe for your video card? I was having some issue with the REX ocean animation sets but I fixed it by changing those particular animation textures to DXT5 from 32bit and now the ocean is not a performance issue at all. BTW, I run the REX Sparkling set that looks nice but had been giving me problems until I fixed the textures it calls for.

Hi, thanks the advice, The lag is present only when watching the ocean, and in particular the horizon my video card is quite old (: and maybe contributes to the problem. Can you go in depth on how to do the procedure you mentioned? I have tried everything like changing AA Settings with no luck ):

Here's a quote from myself on the subject that was in the PMDG forum a while back. Note these texture names are from the the Sparking set in REX. If you use a different set then it could be different textures name, but I doubt it. What you could do is go into REX and uncheck all the options in the install menu, meaning uncheck clouds, sky, runway, etc. so you dont reinstall all of them, just check the box for water animations. Then select the water animations set you want to install and install it. Once its done go into your FSX/textures folder and sort it by last accessed to see which textures were just installed by REX. Then take those textures which should be the same as the ones listed in my quote, open them in DXTBmp and resave them as DXT5.
If your running the Sparkling set in REX find the following four textures in your FSX/texture folder, they should be pretty big file sizes:OceanHeight20FieldLayer.ddsOceanHeight20FieldLayer1.ddsOceanHeight20FieldLayer2.ddsOceanHeight20FieldLayer5.ddsOnce you locate them back them up of course in case you mess up. Then simply open each one in DXTBmp and resave it as a DXT5 texture and your done, repeat for each one and them replace the recompressed texture back to the FSX/texture folder. The reason I mentioned these files for the Sparkling set is because after I installed that set and them sorted the FSX/texture folder by last accessed, these were the four that were done. If you install a different water set then it could be either the same file names or maybe different ones. The easiest way to check is to sort the texture folder by last acessed after you install REX textures and you will be able to see what REX had just installed, then you can modify them accordingly.
