October 6, 201114 yr Author We are waiting for 'Chock' to bring his repaint for this one to market. He did an outstanding job on the competitor's model while we were waiting for the PMDG release. Realistic looking lumps and bumps, custom antennas, etc. Check out the USS Nocturne by Ioan Blidariu at the AVSIM downloads. His doesn't have the big picture window but is a real nice paint. Here is Sir Alan's paint that I ported over so it is a little rough on the edges. and here is Ioan's USS Nocturne S-8 I added some of Chock's additions to Ioan's, including the bumps, picture window , red paint stripes on the engine cowlings, etc.and named it the Spirit of Gulfport, but just for my personal use. I fly it often, Ioan did a great job on it. I just made it more of a P-8A than the S-8 and used the winglet version, just to be a little different. Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

October 6, 201114 yr Let me say it again....N A V Y!!!! When i was in the Navy I was stationed near Jacksonville NAS. I used to love watching the P3 Orions come in and out all day. When I was out to sea I was on an anti-sub destroyer (Knox class frigate) and used to love to watch them operate....two engines feathered loitering 100 feet off the water in a 50-60 degree bank, dropping sonobuoys and doing MAD sweeps ....gawd...that was awesome. The P3 was always my favorite military bird. The 737 is a worthy successor. To see one in that flight attitude...my god..I might just die and go to heaven. oh yeah...NAVY stands for N ever A gain V olunteer Y ourself ROFL! Best regards, fly safe! October 7, 201114 yr Author Darn, no extended range! Oh, but it does. The P-8 is a militarized version of the 737-800 with 737-900-based wings. The airframe uses a 737-800-based fuselage that is a similar but longer than the 737-700-based C-40 Clipper. The P-8 has a strengthened fuselage and 767-400ER-style raked wingtips, instead of the blended winglets available on 737NG variants. It also includes 6 additional body fuel tanks, three in the forward cargo compartment and three in the rear, for extended range. These are manufactured by Marshall Aerospace in Cambridge, UK.
