January 11, 201214 yr Fly the VOR approaches, followed by circling - these are so much more exciting and scenic than the curved RNAV approaches, which are only good for sticking on autopilot and watching the computer do all the work. But I reckon if I was flying into Queenstown in less than complete VFR I would feel much more comfortable knowing that one of the of the RNAV approaches was being used.
