Is DWC best setting to use for most accurate RW weather

Featured Replies

Hello I am flying with the PMDG 737 NGX and Radar contact in Australia and want to ensure am using the most realistic settings to align with Radar contact, currently set to DWC weather mode, surface winds and winds aloft at my waypoints seem fairly accurate so far although i have not flown much but just want to ensure DWC is the best experience, I am using the below for my weather and flight planning needs Topcat - Weight and Balance, fuel required, Take off and Landing DataFSBUILD - only using ASE winds imported into FSBUILD for flight plan Fuel Burn calculations to supplement and double check Topcat fuel totalASE- Using winds for flight planning IE FMC predictions, cruise, descent and expected runway for Radar Contact departure and arrival RegardsWayne

Hi Wayne,That's subjective but IMO yes, DWC is by far the most realistic option, mainly because its the only way to get proper wind depiction aloft. Sounds like you've got a nice setup there with some other great add-ons! Make sure you check out the readme.rtf regarding recommendations to prevent s-turn problems with the PMDG aircraft.
