About to click proceed, good to go?

Recommended Posts

This is the system i have created. Am i good to click proceed? I believe all is ok, aside from the Case/PSU. They come bundled with some CPU cooling fan. My aim is to take the i5 2500k to about 4.5ghz, no more. I know stock fan won't give me this, will the one included in the case bundle achieve, or if not can you suggest one that will. Cheers guys and gals. computerspec.jpgUploaded with ImageShack.us

Hyper 212 plus. Excellent, and great value for money!

Ok, that is about £24. I now need a case with 650w power for about £100. Any suggestions? overclockers seem quite expensive with their towers and very few include a PSU

Don't cheap out on the PSU if you will be overclocking. You want one to be able to continually supply solid power to the CPU. IMO a minimum of 80 plus.

no, its the efficiency rating. I have a 750W 80 plus silver and it run great. Its also usually a rating on the quality of the PSU and how stable it will be when you overclock. I am sure someone else knows a bit more on PSU's than me but all i can really say is, you want a good one.

I agree with Andrew, don't scrimp on a few dollars. The PSU is paramount in helping provide you with a stable system. As for cases, I have the Antec 300, which is great and I think it is less than about £50. There are loads to choose from on the market, but again, as with all PC components, find one from a reputable brand.

For a power supply, look at Corsair's AX line, or TXv2. I would recommend Seasonic X750 or 850 but I couldn't find one on their site... http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-027-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1084 It appears the AX850 is out of stock but the 750 is plenty for a powerful FSX rig.

I quickly ran over a few reviews... apparently it's a decent budget case. Skimping on the case isn't what you want to do either hehe. I'm not familiar with it other than the reviews I read. Perhaps others will chime in. Otherwise I'd get a better case. The case is the one component you rarely have to change out - so you might as well make it a quality purchase. If it's a budget case your after, I've built a couple of overclocked i2500k systems in http://www.overclock...tid=7&subcat=29 and is good value for the money. Edit: scrap that, saw your going with the Hyper 212+. Great cooler for the price.
