October 13, 201114 yr Hi guys,This issue has been pissing me off quite a bit. Now when I am on approach or even final approach, the gauges on my wilco 777 freezes. The exterior of the plane also turns black. The only way to bring it back to life is by press the escape button and return to the flight. But after a while, the thing freezes again and the cycle continues. If I dont do any of this fsx would crash to desktop saying that it has ran out of memory. Now Ive lost a 5 hour flight to my VA and crashed my VA;s plane all thanks to the last minute freezing of gauges when about to land. Now this issue has never happen when Im cruising, it only happens when I'm on approach or descending. Now I have also noticed another trend, fsx tends to use up more memory as time goes by if I;m not wrong, either that or it uses more memory on approach. I'm now thinking of buying the FSX booster by FSPS. Has anyone got the same issue as me? here are my specs:OS:Windows vista 32-bitRAM:3GBGraphic card: Nvidia GeForce 9500GSProcesser: Intel core 2 quad, 2.33GHZAny help is greatly appreciated :) Austin Tan Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 @ 2.33GHZ 3GB RAM

Have you installed the /3GB switch for 32 bit Vista systems? Hopefully you do not have your sliders set too high in the FSX.cfg. You are literally running out of memory. Since this is your first post, you may not be aware of an experts guide on Setting up FSX and Tuning it where the /3GB switch is discussed as well as other settings - http://www.simforums.com/forums/topic29041.html. Best regards,Jim

October 14, 201114 yr thanks for your reply, would check it out :)Edit: oh yes how did you do the HIGHMEMFIX=1 tweak? It goes in the [Graphics] section of the FSX.cfg. If you do a Google search for highmemfix=1 you'll find out more what this tweak does. It doesn't work for everyone. Best regards,Jim
