cloud textures with ASE - which ones are best ?

Recommended Posts

Hello: I'm using ASE SP3 with FSX and default textures. Can someone advise which are the best textures to use with FSX that are compatible with Active Sky Evolution? Thank you, Iain

They're all compatible - ASE has no textures of its own and no preference as to what textures are used.. DJ

Thanks.... REX has the weather engine included, so I'm assuming that it isn't a good idea to mix weather engines as I prefer ASE,, Iain

With REX your best strategy is to create a flightplan using the planner of your choice, load it into REX and let REX create the textures, load the textures to FS, then turn REX off and then run FS with ASE. ASE is a much better weather engine. You can also use REX to create texture snapshots and load them via ASE. I prefer the first method. DJ
