b0gey, there is no need to get into confrontation and conflicts here. we all share a common interest and the goal should be to help each other out by sharing ideas. i respect your decision to build your own computer (if I could and had the time I would). Please don't take it personally if someone decides to buy an already built computer. i believe you called me stupid for doing do. there is really no need to be using such language to send a message. it looks like you have an excellent system -- i5 2500k @ 4.8ghz!!! David, I don't know you and your life, as I'm sure many others don't either, but I respectfully suggest that if you act like a child and be rude to people, that you leave and go elsewhere. My mother had a good saying... 'if you can't say something good to people, then don't say anything! But as Huascar has said, have some good flying.

I really think you should just back up and step away. You came waltzing in telling the OP he was stupid (in so many words) and now you've got beef with a mod because he told you how rude you were being. Everyone's been reasonably polite in this thread except you.

I said alienware was massively overpriced, and digital storm is a better ootion because they know their stuff and have a fair price for all the work they do.Im not going to apologize for people taking my comments out of context. I had said in a previous comment to husacar that "he was right, as long as he's happy". Then rocky here tells me that i would be a better person if i had saved my precious "time that is worth 200/hr" by having people build a computer for me, which made no sense at all.But by all means, flame away at this post all you like.Sorry i meant geofa, not rockliffe.

Following your post 35 I now realise that I need English comprehension lessons. Huascar I enjoyed your video especially as I lived in Hong Kong for four years in the early eighties and regularly flew in and out of there as SLF. Every time was interesting. Enjoy your computer and I think it's commendable the way you have responded to the posts questioning how you bought it.

Pretty much.I have no idea why people don't just build their own these days. It is soooooo easy!

Such a stupid thinking process. Every part you buy has a warranty on it already, and those sandy bridge processors can go for years and years at 4.5ghz because it's such a small increment in voltage. You overpaid by at least $1,500.. not such a smart financial move (even if you think the warranty will be worth it... it won't). Even if you didn't want to build, you should have went with digital storm online... you know.. people who actually KNOW what they're doing.

Well you are right about one thing-you are done here.

It is very unfortunate that things got out of hands so quickly. I posted the video with the best of intentions. I was not trying to stir things up although I have to admit the title of my video could have been interpreted as confrontational. I was not trying to promote alienware computers (or get into the the buy vs. build debate). I just wanted to share a video since it was my first ever made.For the administrators – I do not feel offended by the “stupid” comment (have a thick skin). I too have two girls and a wonderful wife who puts out with me on the Flight Simulator obsession. She was not too happy with me spending 3k on a computer. She too said it was a stupid investment. Problem with alienware is that it's not really a 4.1GHz overclock, it's just the turbo that has been increased from 3.8 to 4.1GHz, but with all the cores running it will go down to 3.4 / 3.5GHz, while a properly overclocked 2600K can often do 4.7 - 4.8GHz on all 4 cores at full load. That for FSX is a big issueAlso upgrading an alienware rig may not even be possible. I don't know this particular model, guess it's an Aurora?

I'm not sure about this anymore. Huascar, can you check your CPU speed with CPU-Z while running FSX or a stress test please? is it a constant 4.1GHz at full load?Just curious
