Recommended Posts

Bam!! Short final into EGLL from WSSS and "POOF" The big red stop sign telling me FSX didn't shut down properly. It will restart. Thanks FSX but I was kinda wanting to land my 747-400 after the long flight from Singapore...Can anyone help? Am I doing something wrong? If you let me know how to find the error report I can post that too so all you that are much more savey at this than I can see what went down. Other than my FSX.Thanks in advance.David Bell

Check the Event Viewer - Click on the Start button, type Event Viewer in the search bar, look up in the menu and click on Event Viewer, look at Custom Views>Administrative Events and look for the type FSX shut down. Sounds like an overheating issue as long flights can bring intense heat to the CPU and memory if not properly cooled. I feel your pain with a long flight only to end with a crash.Best regards,Jim

It means the TCAS2v7.dll crashed your system. A possible solution is at the following link: http://support.precisionmanuals.com/KB/a35/troubleshooting-ctds-crash-to-desktop.aspx .Best regards,Jim

Thanks Jim. I appreciate your help so far.I'm not certain how to "repair" the TCAS2v7 though. I am not sure how to get into my 747 installer and to select repair.According to my instalation in Microsoft Games, I do have the 1.1.6 version but not the 1.1.6.0 version. Is there a differance? Are you able to walk me through it please. With kind regards.David Bell

You can do that too (repair the PMDG 747) but I was talking about the program FSX and Acceleration and leaving your addons alone for now. You have the right version of the TCAS II Ver 7 dll. You FSX may not be properly registered though and a repair would reinstall FSX without messing around with your addons. You will have a new fsx.cfg though. So, to repair FSX, just insert the FSX disk 1 and select the repair option. When completed, insert the Acceleration disk and select the repair option. Run FSX and see if that fixes the problem. If not, you can try a repair of the 747 by double-clicking on the PMDG 747 execute program and selecting the repair option. You'll also have to reinstall any updates (SP's) to the 747. Other than that, I have no other suggestions for fixing this problem. I hope my recommendations fix it for you though.Best regards,Jim

I'm sorry to ask, but do you have ASE with SP3 ?
