PMDG 737-600/700 NGX Expansion Available

The basic logic of the packs in te 4/8/900 series is that both packs works together to adjust air temperature after the packs to the coldest demand, then, a trim air in each cabin section will supply hot air to warm it for the other 2 demands.So, if you ask for 20°C in cockpit, 22 in fwd and 24 in aft cabin both packs will work to assure 20° in cockpit, then trim air will work on the other 2 sections to add temperature to them.This in normal mode.Also, packs are different, on the 4/8/9 series the pack temperature could be lower than 0°.The temperature control is fully automatic.On the shorter versions 1/2/3/5/6/700 the pack logic is different, packs are controlled separately one for cockpit, one for cabin temperature.They have no trim air but each have a mix valve.Mix valve could be used in manual mode to command directly the valve operation. This could create problems of duct overheating and more.The packs are designed differently, they have a 35°F (2°C) limit to prevent ice formation inside them, so, thay cannot supply freezed air in the cabin.Schemes are avaiable on b737.org.uk website.

Tech question: Do the 4/8/9 packs use a typical fabric sock coalescer on the outlet of the pack turbine for water removal? I'd have to think "no" as wouldn't it then have problems with ice formation?

Coalescers are present on the shorter version, they need to not have ice, so temperature to them is controlled to be over 2°C (by a 35°F temperature switch).The longer versions uses condenser/reheater and water is then sprayed back (externally) to the heat exchangers.This is a lot semplified, not taking in count differences between 100 to 900 series except for the major.

Hello,First the very first time I am having an installation/activation problem with a PMDG product. The FSX NGX737 Base Package + SP1 has been working fine. Purchased NGX600/700 upgrade through nominal process at PMDG (got all the emails and codes, etc.). Ran the intsaller as administrator and firewall turned-off. Install looked normal, except for POSSIBLY a fleeting, and aborted, by the installer attempt to start FSX in the latter stages of the install (I normally use FPS 2.0 Limiter batch file to load FSX). At this point the installation simply ends... no nessages, nothing. Then upon manually starting FSX and selecting one of the newly installed 600/700 base models I get a small pop-up activation window that prompts for the code PMDG sent me. Code is entered... but then after about 60 seconds I get this error message: "Unable to connect to activation server. Please check your internet connection." Meanwhile, the internet connection is just fine as other windows are open and unsing the internet. I have not been able to get past this empasse for the last few hours. Any advice/suggestions? As i bought the Aerosoft box version of the NGX a few days ago, i have a question... Are there any plans for a Box-Version of the expansion pack as well?
