November 2, 201114 yr How do you have yours setup? I currently have mine up against the wall, but I don't like it. I have to position my chair very close to my desk in order to reach the pedals comfortably, but then I only use them during taxiing. I saw some people on Amazon that made this huge project with it, and all this complicated stuff. Here's some pictures to better explain what I mean: i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
November 2, 201114 yr I don't have those, so how applicable the suggestion turns out to be would depend upon you and your skills? I quick visit to your MEGA home improvement warehouse to pickup a piece of lumber, a little saw work (hand saw would be fine) and you can tailor the distance from the wall to suit your needs. A 2x6 or 2x10 piece of wood cut down to the width of the entire front of the pedals, then cutting the side away from the wall to match the "notch" along the front of the pedals base should give you a firm resistance. I might get something to tape along the wood where it sits against the wall, to cut down on any marring of the paint finish. Normal guy, it's about 30 mins. work. Me? About an hour and a half...
November 2, 201114 yr HiI have a plastic mat under my desk and I setup my pedals where I wanted them and then just drilled holes through the holes in the pedals and through the mat and used 4 bolts cut to the right length inserted them upside down through the mat and then laid the pedals on the four bolts and it's worked fine for years now You could do that with a sheet of plywood too.........John
November 2, 201114 yr Does the saitek set have little teeth at the bottom to grip the carpet? If the pedals keep sliding forward when you sue them then you can just place something between the pedals and the wall.A simple rectangular plate of wood of the right size would suffice.Just measure how much space there is between the wall and the pedals and how wide the base is. 1cm thickness will do fine. Some woodshops will even cut it to size for you.You could even hammer a few nails into the floor, if that is OK with whoever owns the floor. ;)
November 2, 201114 yr Author Hi guys, thanks for the ideas.I think I'm going with Jeroen's idea. I thought of that, but then I didn't know how big it had to be. I'm going to check if I have some extra lumber from another project and I'll report back.... i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
November 2, 201114 yr Right now I have a row of empty DVD cases between the rudder and the wall... Cheers, Willem Anema

November 29, 201114 yr I use an extra shelf from my computer desk as a spacer between the wall and the pedals. It was the perfect size. The best part is I can move it out of the way easily as it's not nailed or bolted down. I tried using the velcro strips provided with the pedals but they wouldn't stay attached to the carpet.
November 29, 201114 yr I screwed together a big block of wood from some left over materials from my recent porch building. I'm thinking making the box bigger and making a sort of hole in it, where I could stick the front of the base into. If I had a couple of small flat end screws sticking up from the base of that box, they could slot into the holes in the base it'd help stabilize the whole thing. That would still make the pedals easy to move away, but you'd have to pull it up then out to get it loose.I love woodwork, but I'm thinking this might be over the top. My office sort of looks like an office, and not a simpit. :D
December 2, 201114 yr I have the box from my keyboard and my wireless router against the wall to put the rudder pedals against. To the OP, I love the dynex power strip (sorry I work for BBY). Tom "I just wanna tell you both: good luck. We're all counting on you."
December 2, 201114 yr Author Why dont you put the plastic extensions on the other side? What do you mean Luke? i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
December 2, 201114 yr In pic 1 you see the black plastic clip on things attached at the front of the base.I've got mine on the back and it does the same job as a piece of wood.and you can do it in 4 seconds flat. :) Regards Luke M
