The Best you could do to improve performance right now would be go to from 2gb to 4gb of system memory.

With a config as recommended by NickN and with an external FPS limited locking at 25 fps it runs silky smooth with any addon that I've tried. Also, with the limiter the frames struggle to fall below 25.Jack

im around 20-30 fully loaded with addons occasionally dropping below 20 around massive detail airports but smooth, love it and imagine the performance re the next generation hardware

Very smooth, with only highmemfix and AM=14 in my fsx.cfg. 2600K @4.5 Gigabyte Z68 and GTX580. No bufferpools, ran 10 times better without it.

I run FSDreamteam, Fly Tampa, and Flightbeam airports with UTX, GEX, REX, ASE, and FSInn and I consistently manage around 25-30 fps. My fsx.cfg is set according to bojote's fsx.cfg tool and I use an external fps limiter set to 30 fps.
