November 6, 201114 yr I've been programming my FMC in the NGX and I get these route discontinuities frequently. How do I clear these? Or better yet, is it possible to simplify the flight route so that there is little chance of these discontinuities?Kareem
November 6, 201114 yr Are you loading a flight plan you imported from some other program? It sounds like possibly some of the waypoints aren't in the 737's database. You could manually enter all waypoints/Sid/star & save it from within the cdu. That's make sure the fmc likes them all.Edit: to clear a discontinuity, hit the lsk next to the waypoint below it to copy that waypoint into the scratchpad & then press the lsk next to the discontinuity to move the waypoint up. Be sure to press execute after changing it & step through the waypoints with the nd in pln view to make sure it is correct. That helps a lot.If I decide to enter in my own waypoints, how would I do this? The FMC seems to automatically enter a bunch of waypoints automatically when I add the Origin and Dest airports. Do I need to go through and manually delete the waypoints one by one?
