None sais that actually. The thing is that they didn't put enough effort in to surround effect for all these sounds. When it's played in FSX, it doesn't give a full feeling of the cockpit.

Here is comparison of video

1. with default GPWS

2. with my GPWS

3. Real cockpit

Infact i have been digging about and one of the sound engineers at PMDG stated this i quote..

Dear Keith,

The surround sound functionality only applies to FSX sounds like engines and not to custom sounds programmed in the panel - the wind sounds do not have the surround functionality as FSX does not support this, so they are stereo files. All PMDG FSX aircraft have mono engine sounds and the corresponding 3D surround sound programming - this is observed particularly in the outside view where the sounds will change as you pan around the aircraft. But any custom sounds like GPWS, TCAS, switches and lever sounds are only stereo files and are not part of the FSX sound system, so they will not vary if the viewpoint is changed.

Also, FSX applies the surround sound concept even to stereo speakers - again the sounds vary depending on viewpoint position.

Best regards,

Armen

From the real one you hear that If you press if fastly, it goes just like scratch. If you hold it, you can feel the cirling effect of the wheel.

I meant not the 5.1 or 7.1 compatibility. I meant the way how the actual sound is recorded.

did you do any fix for that?

No, I tried to rip from many different videos, but didn't come up with good result.

But, I wrote one letter to 737-800 pilot and asked him to try and record the trim. Maybe we will come up with something more realistic.
