Official Groundroll Enhancement Thread...

Recommended Posts

Looking forward to trying this. Might I suggest it would help and be clearer if you bolded the second 2 files in the following part of your readme? -"Copy either PMDG_737_Touchdown.wav or PMDG_737_Touchdown2.wav, (which ever one you prefer) & "PMDG_737_NoseGearGroundroll.wav" & "PMDG_737_Speedbrake.wav" "
that would be corrected in our next Service Pack wink.png

Tell ya what Joel. Really hits the center line lights when the initial nose gear touches down very nice, & in regards to our decision on the taxi-roll. We certainly made the right choice in volume, blends in very well with the nose gear sound and also fades out well when slowing right down m8Anyway enjoy guys ill be around tomorrow if anyone requires any help or just PM Joel..:)

I already corrected the Readme, there were a lot of mismatches there that I fixed.well that what happens when you write the readme in 15 min and then decide at the last min on adding another file :)

If you have the 600 -700 series aswell you will need to place a copy of the PMDG737NGX_GRND.wav in the 700 NGX folder aswell overwriting that but BACK IT UP !

Speed-brake Wav needs to be dropped into the Various sounds folder and make sure you back up PMDG'S original as you may not be keen .. I have just lowered the dB's on it not a great deal of difference to be honest

feel free.Taxi sound is very tricky for it to sound right, that is why I never did it in the 1st place.I only did the RW run roll as that's easy.

Sound is so important in a simulator. This is the first jet addon for FSX that really came with a soundset I did not have to fiddle with at all! However, I was using a replacement ground rumble / rattle sound other than the default PMDG one which was too steady and quiet. Other than that I loved the NGX sound set.. until you guys made this little update! Great job... I just can't do it justice until everyone is out of the house and I can crank up the volume... wife and kids think I'm cookoo if I want it that loud, yet for some reason the TV has Spongebob on loud enough to hear it across the street... but I digress...

I'll wait until your home Joel and have tested the updated files to see whether you want to use them.

You said the PMDG 50% sound settings is recommended.. could you tell me those settings used in fsx default sounds and the pmdg fmc sound page? Thanks! Trying this out today!-Brandon
