November 11, 201114 yr As my 'home country' I am very pleased with this announcment. Cannot stand photo scenery so Horizon was never an option for me. Whilst UTX and GEX certainly make things better, the full FTX treatment will be well worth the wait. I dont mean to "diss" ORBX, but their sceneries run very bad on most machines due to the extensive amount of autogen. Sure it looks amazing, but what does it worth if the terrain tiles keep getting blurrier and blurrier if you fly above 150 knots :?Get a better machine or turn down the autogen sliders then. Thats what they are there for. You cant have your cake and eat it too.You have to be prepared to make some compromises. If you want max 2x water, max autogen, terrain shadows, cars and every other slider full right in FSX along with FTX, you are going to be very disspaointed (even with a clocked i7)I run at 'very dense' on AG and its more than enough. Solid 30FPS locked (internally) even at the addon airports like KBVS and 74S Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
November 11, 201114 yr I'm very pleased to see they plan to use UK talent to develop this area. Hopefully that will ensure it looks 'right'. But I'm with those who are disappointed that only Northern Ireland will be covered. That's a political not a geographical divide. And the rest of Ireland is crying out to be done properly.
November 11, 201114 yr If you read JVs comment on his forum, he rightly states that Eire is not part of the UK. When the UK is done he will do the Republic. Arnie....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...

November 11, 201114 yr This is really great news. ORBX produces top notch scenery and this area really needs an upgrade ORBX style. Mike Keigley
