Hi!I want to buy me a new computer for FSX. It should have about 25 FPS with the PMDG 737NGX at very big airports like Schiphol, ...What do you think is better, Intel Core i5 or i7 (I maybe also want to overclock it)? What graphics would you use? (I thought of a GTX 560)Would be nice, if you had some tips.CheersDavid

The i5-2500k and GTX 560 combination will certainly accomplish the task. You may see upper teens at a major airport like Schipol, but the overall experience will be way better than whatever your rocking now. The only real difference between the i5 and i7 is hyper threading, which FSX doesn't benefit from. FSX also doesn't seem to benefit from the extra cache in the i7 either.Keep in mind that new socket 1155 compatible processors are coming out in a few months (Ivy Bridge), but that shouldn't necessarily keep you from purchasing now. All the more reason to get the cheaper i5-2500k, though. That way you limit your losses if you decide to sell the i5-2500k and replace it with an Ivy Bridge. For a motherboard, I would recommend checking out the Asus P8Z68 Gen3 series of boards or the ASRock Extreme Gen3 boards. Are you going to build this computer yourself?

Hi Corey! Thanks for your reply. I will arrange the PC at a shop where they also build it. (I am not very experienced with this things...)David
