Hey Guys, I just found out about the Boeing 747X today, surpassing the new Airbus A380. This is Boeings "secret weapon" as many articles say:Here are some links that give a bunch of information and specs about the Boeing 747X. Each link will have a quick discription under giving you a better idea of what you will see.http://sergib.al.ru/usa/boeing/747/x/b747x.htmThis is not in english, but compars the 747-400, 747X, and A380.Provides great pictures also.http://www.industryweek.com/CurrentArticle...p?ArticleID=985Just some basic information of profit for both aircraft and such.http://www.awgnet.com/shownews/00farn3/topsto12.htmPretty Much what the page is called, Boeing vs A3XX . Boeing taking time and Airbus rushing to get A380 out.http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/200103/3...0330_66406.htmlJust some basic information about the plane...Well those are some of the links I thought were interesting. I've some links that say the project was cancelled, but im not sure of that as it is still in the news.Have a great day everyone,:-wave Jay

I think Boeing canned the 747X project. That's what I heard last.

Yeah, and now the rumor is that the Sonic Cruiser might be canned too. The airlines say that the acquisition cost outweighs the projected profits, even if it shaves a couple hours off long flights. The BWB is in jeopardy, too. Since it was a McDonnell Douglas project, the Boeing people want to just drop it and look into other possibilities.

Stratus,Ahh yes, but what about their anti gravity project ? This pile of sh.........I mean interesting project must be progressing well by now. The crashed saucers that were based at Area 51 should be at Paine Field shortly, so they will be able to test their revolutionary engines in "authentic" hardware within a year or two.So, everyone who lives in the Seattle area........keep your eyes peeled for these space age airliners that will soon be taking Boeing to the stars............Meanwhile, back here in the real world.........Airbus are continuing development on the twin deck A380. This should be in service by 2006, and is apparently powered by four truly remarkable engines. These have the unofficial codename of "JET engines", but this is unconfirmed at the present time. Apparently, one of the engine options is being developed by Rolls Royce (codename Trent 900), but there are others.Remember, you heard it here first............ :-lolChris Low,ENGLAND.
