November 22, 201114 yr Does anyone know if this visual approach has a chart? I was only able to find one online for the vor/dme for runway 33. Would you execute this approach and then undergo a visual procedure to line up with the same runway as in the video? Alfredo Terrero
November 22, 201114 yr Incredible! Thanks for sharing, hope an FSX version comes out as well... Brandon Burkley

You fly an instrument approach to a certain altitiude. Visibility OK: proceed, else go around.Since it's a visual approach, you basically fly it how you want.Bert Van BulckBert Van BulckWonderfull for touch & go practice...to maintain skill...Nile DanielLike this one Bert Van Bulck

November 22, 201114 yr Author If your flying into Toncontin make sure you have some good Mesh such as FS Genesis or FS Global otherwise it isn't as challenging because where there should be mountains there are hills. Better yet if you want the real deal, buy the LatinVFR Toncontin scenery. This will make it so its like the real deal, depending on what version your using. The real airport has been changed since their scenery first came out. Think they graded down that hill a bit on final approach so it is easier to get in there. I believe I saw something about an update from LATIN VFR that has the new changes but I prefer the old one as its more challenging. Paul Deemer

November 22, 201114 yr Commercial Member I watched this video a few weeks back and bought the FS9 scenery.Druk air is the only airline that operates out of VQPR they own 2 modified A319 aircraft equipped with A321 engines. Only 8 pilots in the world are qualified to fly the approach.Amazing approach if you have good mesh and scenery installed, only other approach that comes close is the Descent 4 into QuitoRegards Rob Prest

November 22, 201114 yr Commercial Member Did you use charts? I found if flew it according to the chart I would screw up. If I flew the same way as the video with a sharp left turn to be lined up around 100ft then I would land perfectly. The charts require an insane descent down a hill.I fly in out of this place via Delhi quite a bit now, the departure is just as stunning, definitely on my real world destination list.http://va-transaero.ru/files/charts/VQPR.pdf Rob Prest
