November 22, 201114 yr Hi all,I just bought the NGX and the 600/700 expansion pack yesterday. However, I ran into constant CTD whenever I select any NGX plane. As it turns out, this was caused by setting the texture max to 4096 as per PMDG introduction manual, with my triple monitor NVidia surround setup. If I lower the texture to 1024, no CTD.Is this a known problem? If so, what do I loose with setting the texture max load to 1024?FSX: with Acceleration, Trilinear filter, Anti Alias offI use NVIDIA Inspector with HW AA: 8SQNGX: latest with SP1 already includedResolution used: 5760x1200x32OS: win7 64 bitCPU: i950 overclocked to 4.0 GhzMemory: 6 GBThanksVu Pham Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system. November 22, 201114 yr Commercial Member Oh, I know what the problem is.That's just too much computer for the NGX! (nice system!).I get a CTD at 4096 every so often, but I load into the Cessna (or another default) and then switch to the PMDG (which as I recall PMDG says is not needed). I haven't bothered to report it, not much sense in it.Sure would love to hear if you stumble on to what the cause is. No error is called out after the CTD, at least that I've been able to find. November 22, 201114 yr Author Hi Dave,Your system is nice too! I see that you also use three monitors. I will try loading the default plane and switch like you did and see if I still get a CTD with texture set at 4096. I was doing the default plane switch before, but stopped after the MD-11X, because framerate drops like a stone if I do that with the MD-11. Right now without doing anything else, any NGX plane selection will result in CTD. I mean I am not even getting to an airport. Other post of similar problem got it resolved by not using AA and/or lower settings. I think that the demand on the system when there is a large resolution and the huge resource consumption of the NGX caused it. Too bad FSX is not a native 64 bit app.ThanksVu Pham Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system. MSFS2020, XP-12, DCS
