MD11 yoke jitters

Recommended Posts

Hello! Sorry of this has been raised before. I simply can't find the topic after days of searching. When in flight I.e cruise flight or descending etc with the autopilot engaged, the yoke seems to moves very fast and "crazily". Is there anyway to stop this from happening? Give it more fluid movements??Kind regardsChris Blythe

Yoke jitters and throttle jitters are caused by FSX's programming. The movement of the yoke in the VC is an indicator of the position of the controls. In basic aircraft this doesn't occur because the aircraft uses the autopilot systems built into FSX. Thus it is handled much differently than PMDG aircraft whose autopilots are completely separate from FSX. PMDG has stated in the past that they had attempted to write subroutines which smoothed out this motion, but that it was a frame rate killer and thus eliminated it. Best solution is to just click the yoke out of sight. Gets in the way of those pretty screens anyway.
