air taxi - what is the real definition?

Air taxi as in shuttle service through the air, its basically a short hop to transfer passengers.Air taxi regarding helicopters, is when ground control clears a helicopter after landing on the runway to "jump" right to his parking spot instead of "hover taxiing" along regular taxiways.

oh, ok, thats what i thought, an example would be like oh, KLAX to airports like L70, KWHP, AJO, L67 , correct?i just wanted to kind of get the official word, thanksoh, interesting note about the helicopter def.thanksciao!Brian S

I'm an East Coaster, so I'm not familiar with that route, but its more or less a charter operation in a local area.
