What difference does the autobreak make?

I've always wondered, how much of a difference does turning on the autobreak (ie 737NGX) make when you are landing? Oops I meant antiskid.Patrick Boynton

Anti skid will improve overall braking performance, as it keeps the tire spinning just on the verge of a skid during deceleration. A wheel spinning just on the verge of skidding is at it's maximum braking potential.
