Anybody know what the purpose of the changable digits on the right handle of the yoke are for?

They don't really "do" anything. They're just so you can easily keep three numbers "written down" without having to remember them.Say you're flying a flight plan under a different callsign than your flightnumber, you can put your callsign there.Any three numbers you like to remember.... put 'em there.
