How to overclock

Recommended Posts

Hey all, so I have had a ASUS P8P67-M Pro motherboard and Intel core i7 2600k for about 6 months now, I finally went and got me a cooler master HAF case as well as a corsair H80 for the CPU, now my question is how do I overclock the CPU, I have been searching Google but nothing seems to be helping and I dont want to ruin anything in my computer, any would be appreciatedThanks Everyone!!!!!

Hey Brendon, What did you google? Your best bet is to keep it short. I just googled "Overclock P8P67-M Pro i7 2600k" and got several hits. Not to send you off searching, but in over clocking for the first time you either learn all there is to know about it, or you find someone with your exact specs that can give you the hand holding treatment and tell you the exact settings. Doing your own OC will take a lot of understanding otherwise and some things you really must understand. Maybe you'll get lucky. Those specs are quite common but you'll want to also list your memory (not how much, it's speeds).
